docsteth1All consultations are by appointment. We do try to ensure that we have an effective appointment system and we always score highly in the annual appointments satisfaction survey, however we realise it is impossible to have a perfect one as patients do not fall ill to fit in with timetables.  Doctors themselves sometimes fall ill, are delayed or, occasionally, take holidays.  It is preferable for patients to see the same doctor each time, particularly for on-going problems, as this is the best way for the doctor and patient to develop and maintain a long-term relationship. We realise there will be times when your own doctor is unavailable and it will be necessary for you to make an appointment with one of the other doctors.

In an EMERGENCY patients will be seen without an appointment but it is important, when asking to be seen urgently, that patients realise that others will then have to wait.
